Specialist Units Acquisitions
Swinton Specialist Division
Swinton Specialist Division based in Manchester came into being in January 2007. Since then the department has developed into a truly specialist team in the Non-Standard PMC market. Throughout 2007 and 2008 the team has grown in size and currently employs over 50 team members.
As well as high-performance vehicles and drivers with convictions we have a range of insurers that enable us to provide tailored policies for a whole range of specialist vehicles such as: Kit and Custom Cars, Tractors, American Cars and Ex-Military vehicles.
Motorcycle Unit
The Unit was created following the acquisition of Dyer & Holmes in Maidstone and today has grown to a team of 38 advisors who deal with all types of bike insurance from quads to super sports bikes.
We recently launched an on-line quote and buy proposition whereby our customers can purchase motorcycle products from us on-line and also a new Breakdown product providing European, nationwide and homestart cover.
Safeguard and Scenic
Safeguard, acquired in 2002 and based in Leeds, provides a bespoke motor home and caravan policy for 35,000 customers.
Safeguard operate delegated authority schemes for Allianz and AXA. These schemes provide a high level of underwriting authority
and our very experienced team make good use of this to secure business.
We are very well known within our industry and have recently won
the coveted Insurer of the Year.
We have also recently rebranded Budget Motorhome as Scenic Motorhome.
The rebrand is more than just a name change, we have used this as
an opportunity to improve the product by adding exciting new insurers
to the panel and undertaking a full review of all its add-on products.
Swinton Taxi Division
Swinton Taxi Division was formed in 2001 following the acquisition
of Deansgate, an established North West broker with a Manchester based taxi book. Over the past few years, the team expanded
following further acquisitions and organic growth, and is now a
30+ strong team, based in Liverpool, Wallasey, and Manchester. There
is also a dedicated team of 3 Fleet Managers based in Liverpool,
Coventry and Bradford.
